Maria Montessori was the founder of the Montessori Schools, or at the Montessori technique. It is the most intuitive way for a child to learn. It works on the basis of getting children to decide when they want to learn, which may sound a little weird, but it works. The children find themselves setting the speed that they want to learn, but the environment is such that their natural inquisitiveness caries them forward. It also leads to a calm environment where there is no shouting. The children are also encouraged to tidy up behind themselves after each activity which helps them to understand that they have responsibilities from an early age.
